While leveling in Guild Wars 2 it is important that you go about it in the correct way to make any real progress. In many games players end up grinding the same enemies over and over again, and that just isn´t going to work in this game if you want to level efficiently.

Monsters only give a very small amount of experience when you kill them so there has to be some other reason that you are killing them if you are going to bother taking the time. There are several different reasons to kill an enemy. You could be killing to earn an achievement, killing to finish a reputation quest, or killing to complete your personal story quest line or a dynamic event.

Achievements

If you run into a monster that you have never seen before in the game it is important that you kill at least ten of them. You will gain an achievement for taking out ten of those enemies, and you will get a nice experience boost for earning that achievement. You also need to consider if you have killed that enemy at all today because you can earn an achievement for the number of different enemies that you kill during the day and that grants you experience as well.

Personal Story Quest

The Personal Story quest line is very important for your character and is a great way to level up. When you enter into new areas you will see green dots on your map with level ranges. These are spots for your personal story and you should avoid these quests until you at least make it into the level range and it is best to be a few levels above the recommended level. When you reach the range you simply walk to the dot and talk to the person giving the quest. Complete the quest and you will be granted experience and will get to see some nice cut-scenes that bring the game to life.

Reputation Quest

Reputation quests are often described as "hearts" or "heart quests" because they are represented by hearts on your map. Basically you will walk around until you see hearts on your map and then go near one of the hearts to get a list of different tasks that you can complete. When you complete the task you get a large boost of experience as well as a boost in reputation. The empty hearts will slowly become full as you help the person out and eventually they will turn into a specialty vendor that you can buy different items from.

Dynamic Events

Dynamic events are an exciting and unique way to level. As you are walking around the game things will just happen around you and you get a chance to take part in the events (sometimes you don´t have a choice). You and the other players around you will have to work together to tackle the task and you will all get a nice exp boost when everything is complete. Dynamic events are generated in areas on the map at random time intervals and there is no guarantee that you will run into a specific quest when you are in an area.

Crafting

Crafting is the last way to level up and surprisingly it is one of the most effective ways. In order to craft you will have to buy each of the three different gathering tools. When you have the tools you can go around the map gathering resources from nodes on the map. When you gather the resources you will receive a decent amount of experience that you can use to level up more rapidly.

The nice thing about gathering in Guild Wars 2 is that you can gather each of the different resources as long as you have the proper tool equipped in your hand. After you gather resources you can have them sent to your bank automatically where they will sit until you are ready to use them. You can also take items that you do not want and use your salvage kit on them to turn them into resources that you can then send to your bank as well.

After you have a nice sized stockpile of items in your bank you can go there and begin crafting using your chosen crafting profession. The act of crafting is going to generate even more experience for you and you will be leveling up in no time at all.

I’ve always been considered an elite gamer. I’m the guy in my circle of friends that everyone comes to for advice. Among my many accomplishments I’ve obtained a 2200 arena rating in World of Warcraft, became a member of the platinum league in Starcraft II and even was one of the few people in the world to achieve a score of two million on Bejeweled Blitz. Most recently, I cleared Diablo III on Inferno with my Barbarian, which is widely considered the most underpowered class.

So you can understand why I have never purchased a guide. That is until now. Guild Wars 2 kicked my you know what. Maybe because it’s so different from any game I’ve ever played…I don’t know. Point is, I was dying left and right. The game forums didn’t really help, so I begrudgingly began looking for a guide. And man, am I glad I did. My experience with gaming guides is the past has been less than favorable. I’ll go right out and say it: I’ve been scammed by companies making false claims about its guides. I don’t often take the time to write reviews about anything, but in this particular case I can’t help myself.  I’ll begin with a little background information about myself and my situation.  I’ve been scammed by a few “game guides” in the past.  They’ve contained no real information, just standard things that could be easily seen with a simple Google search.  I’ve also dealt with guides containing completely irrelevant or out of date information in the past.  My past experiences have made me highly skeptic when it comes to purchasing any online guides for any games.

After struggling with earning gold in Diablo for a while, I looked to the internet for answers.  I couldn’t really find any great information pertaining to the best areas to farm gold, which was my main interest in my searches.  Eventually, I stumbled upon the blog of a man named Daniel Chan.  He claimed that he was the first Diablo 3 gold billionaire.  He recorded his progress through his blog, not detailing his exact methods, but more or less totaling up how much gold he could earn in each day.  After keeping up with his blog for a few days, I decided that when his guide came out I’d have to give it a shot.  If the things he was claiming he could do were true, he was pulling down easily 100 times more gold a day than I was, which is really saying something, because I am far from bad at video games.

Believe me… I’ve spent too much money on trashy guides that act like a parrot. They do nothing but copy information available on other websites and that is just disgusting.

Getting to the highest level offers many advantages that many of those at the lower levels will not enjoy.

One of the biggest reasons why I would highly recommend his guide is because of the stuff I wanted to get at the ‘Inferno’ level. Most of the monsters at the Inferno level has more health, more damage, more resistance and they are even higher level than the player’s maximum level.

But that level offers the best stuff that even money cannot buy. The loot at the inferno level is visually different and will fetch a much higher price than any other level.

I learned some of the strategies in the book and it helped me to reach a higher level in half the time. I even tried it with other character classes that I wasn’t familiar with and they all worked like a charm.
The diagrams are illustrated in such a way that even a child could understand how it works.

Blizzard has created the game in such a way that constantly farming the same spot yields diminishing results. It truly becomes a test of skill and they want to make the game a longevity so do not try grinding the same boss over and over again.

Jonathan Bradley Smith has just released a guide called Diablo 3 Speed and it claims to help any Diablo 3 player get to level 60 ASAP. If you are not familiar with speed leveling, it is a way of playing a game that helps a player to max out their character’s level in the shortest possible time!

This was something that I had to check out – after all, someone who comes along with an incredible claim and the players everywhere will start asking questions to see if it’s good or if it is worth it.

Believe me, I’ve seen my share of crappy information on the Internet and I wonder if this is any good. So I went ahead and bought myself a copy.

But after reading just one of the chapters on questing and progression, it totally blew my mind away.
I saw the screenshots and I was sold!

I even tried one of the strategies there and I saw how it changed the way my game was played by cutting short my leveling on a new character in half the time.

Woah Diablo 3 is coming May 15th!

How do I know this is the real deal and not another fiasco by Blizzard for hype's sake? Well, Blizzard just announced the firing of 60 some game developers. You may be thinking... oh no that's awful! But wait, that's actually good news. When game companies are nearing the end of their development cycle, it's sometimes common practice to start laying off the people you won't need after the game launches.

This most likely indicates that the game is pretty much ready for release and now Blizzard is reducing their staff of programmers. Keep in mind that there are probably well over 200 developers working on Diablo 3, so these 60 shouldn't prevent them from working on updating the game. It's just proving that the bulk of work is finished.



If you're like most Diablo 3 fans, you've put some thought into trying the Real Money Auction House (RMAH) to make money playing Diablo 3. Maybe you've decided it just won't work, or maybe you're on the complete opposite end of the spectrum.

Personally, I've been trying to figure out if it's really worth it to even try. Then I came across this guy named Markco.
